Third Monkey, Hear Evil

Okay, so I'm slack. I've not posted anything in months, and there must have been lots I've done to write about. But if the state of my thoughts are anything to go by, I doubt I've done anything.

Some things in life have changed. The family and I are living in a shiny new(er) house, with lots of space. Some things haven't. The place is still chaos, and I still can't find a whole heap of things I've been looking for for ages.

But I have been having fun. On an expedition to find extra furniture to cope with stuff that seems to have appeared out of nowhere, I managed to acquire someones old stamp album, which has filled in lots of the gaps for pre 1990 stamps. I'm getting behind with current ones though, so really should be making an effort to cultivate friends who get lots of letters (and I pass any I don't want on to the red cross for their fundraising efforts).(hint hint)

And the other thing that I have rediscovered is junk mail. We had a nice little sign on the mail box at the old house that discouraged some percentage of the junk mail deliverers. At the new place, we have no such thing. I'm discovering lots of things to covet. I sort of promised one friend that I'd put a list of such things up somewhere online, and maybe one full of suggestions for things to get the kids, but I haven't got around to it yet. Mostly 'cos I'm slack. And a little because I'm not sure of the best way to go about it. But I haven't looked into it, 'cos I'm slack. And I'm not going to do it now, because I'm going to go and wander around my house trying to work out what the highest priority activity is, rather than faffing about on the computer any more. Especially since I think my long-suffering partner is out in the cold hanging up the two loads of washing I put through the machine and then abandoned. Gotta get the washing line fixed so that I can reach it without a step ladder. Slack...
Life and times of someone who should know better....
